안녕하세요, 이번 학기 자녀들과 함께 한글을 공부하게 된 개나리반 제니 서머스입니다. 새 학기를 맞이하며, 아이들과 함께 즐겁고 유익한 시간을 보낼 생각에 벌써부터 설레고 있어요! 학기 시작에 앞서 몇 가지 안내드립니다.
1. 매주 화요일 이메일 드릴게요! 매주 화요일마다 이번 주 수업 내용과 다음 주 준비 숙제를 정리해서 보내드릴 예정입니다. 자녀들과 함께 체크해 주시면 감사하겠습니다. 16주 커리큘럼 및 수업 자료와 사진은 아래 링크에서 확인하실 수 있습니다: https://summersedu.com/yngaenari 수업 사진이 간간히 올라 올 예정입니다. 아이의 사진촬영을 동의하지 않으신다면, 저에게 따로 연락해주세요.
2. 준비물 꼭 챙겨주세요! 연필, 지우개, 가위, 딱풀, 색연필(color pencil), 빨간펜. 아이들이 잘 준비할 수 있도록 도와주세요.
3. 간식 & 물병 간단히 5분 안에 먹을 수 있는 간식을 준비해 주시면 좋겠어요. 건강을 위해 친구들과 간식을 나누지 않도록 해주세요. 그리고 물병도 꼭 챙겨주세요. **넛(견과류)이 들어간 스낵은 가져오지 말아주세요.
4. 드롭 & 픽업 안내 (꼭 읽어주세요!) 자녀들을 데려다주실 때는 꼭 주차 후, 교실로 오셔서 직접 드롭 및 픽업해 주세요. 개나리반 방은 204호 입니다. Drop-off time: 9:20amPick-up time: 12:30pm5분 일찍 오셔서 아이들을 미리 기다려주세요. 고학년을 포함한 모든 아이들은 혼자서 건물 밖으로 나갈 수 없습니다. 안전이 제일 중요하니까요!
5. 지각 및 결석 시에는 미리 연락 부탁드려요 혹시 자녀가 지각하거나 결석하게 된다면 미리 알려주시면 큰 도움이 됩니다.
6. 첫 주 티타임 함께해요! 첫째 주에는 오전 9시 30분부터 10시까지 교장선생님, 전도사님, 그리고 부모님들과 티타임이 준비되어 있습니다. 아이들 드롭 후 카페에서 함께해 주세요! 커피와 다과가 준비되어 있으니 가벼운 마음으로 오시면 됩니다.
7. 레벨테스트 첫날 레벨테스트가 있을 예정입니다. 이후 반 배정이 다시 조정될 수도 있으니 참고해 주세요. 자기가 좋아하는 스티커를 가져와주세요^^ 한학기 동안 공부할 Text book을 꾸밀 예정입니다.

Dear Parents, Hi, My name is Jenny Summers of Gaenari Class. I am excited to be your child's Korean language teacher this semester at YN Korean School.
As we approach the start of the new school year, I look forward to having a fun and enriching time with your children!
Here are some important details to get us started:
1. Weekly UpdatesEvery Tuesday, I will send out an email with this week’s lesson details and homework for the following week. Please review these with your child. You can also find the 16-week curriculum, class materials, and photos at the following link: https://summersedu.com/yngaenari I 'll be posting class photos from time to time. If you’re not okay with your child being in them, just let me know. 2. SuppliesPlease make sure your child has the necessary supplies: pencils, eraser, scissors, glue stick, color pencils, a red pen.Your support in preparing these items is greatly appreciated.
3. Snacks & Water Bottle Please pack a simple snack that can be eaten in 5 minutes or less. To ensure everyone's health and safety, avoid sending snacks containing nuts. Also, remember to send a water bottle with your child.
4. Drop-off & Pick-up (Important!) When dropping off and picking up your child, please park and come directly to the classroom.Gaenari class room is No.204Drop-off time: 9:20amPick-up time: 12:30pmPlease come 5minutes earlier and wait for your kids. All students, including older ones, are not allowed to leave the building on their own. Safety is our top priority!
5. Late Arrivals & Absences If your child will be late or absent, please inform us in advance.
6. First Week Tea Time In the first week, we will have a tea time with the principal, pastor, and parents from 9:30 AM to 10:00 AM. After dropping off your child, please join us in the cafe for coffee and light refreshments. We look forward to meeting you!
7. Level Tests on the First DayThere will be level tests for the classes on the first day. Please note that class might be adjusted after the level tests. Please let your kid bring their favorite stickers ^^ We are planning to decorate a textbook to study during the semester.
